Terms of use
Mathless helps you keep track of shared expenses. It is a personal project built and run by Ibrahim Nisar. By using the app you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.
What Mathless is, and isn't
Mathless records money. It never moves it. It keeps track of who paid, who owes whom and what has been settled. It does not send, receive or hold payments. Any payment you make to settle up happens outside the app, between you and the other person, and is your responsibility.
Your account
- Use your own email address and keep access to it, since confirmation and password-reset codes are sent there.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You can delete your account at any time, in the app under Account โ Delete account or at mathless.app/delete-account. The privacy policy explains what is deleted and what stays in groups you share.
What you put in
- You are responsible for what you enter: names, amounts, notes, photos, and the details of people you add.
- Only add people's email addresses or phone numbers when you have a reason to, such as splitting a bill with them.
- Balances are only as right as the entries behind them. Check amounts before you pay or ask someone to pay. When AI reads a voice note, typed line or receipt, check the result before you save it.
- People in your groups can see and change shared entries. Everything you enter in a group is visible to its members.
Acceptable use
Don't use Mathless to:
- break the law, or record anything illegal;
- harass, threaten or abuse anyone, including through names, notes or invites;
- send invites to people who don't expect them, or use the app for spam;
- upload a profile photo that is sexual, violent, hateful, or that shows someone else without their permission;
- try to get into other people's accounts or groups, or to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.
Reporting a problem
If you see an inappropriate photo, abusive content, or someone misusing the app, email hello@mathless.app with what you saw and which group or person it concerns. Reports are reviewed, usually within a few days, and content that breaks these terms is removed. You can also leave any group you don't want to be in.
Ending access
You can stop using Mathless and delete your account whenever you like. Access may be suspended or an account removed if it breaks these terms or puts other users or the service at risk. The service itself may change, or be shut down; if it is shut down, you will be told in advance where possible so you can export your data (Account โ Export your data).
Provided as-is
Mathless is a free personal project, provided as it is and as available, without promises that it will always work, be error-free, or keep your data forever. Keep your own records for anything that matters.
Limits of liability
As far as the law allows, Ibrahim Nisar is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost money, or disputes between users arising from using Mathless, including mistakes in entries or balances, payments made or not made, or the service being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The new version will be posted here with a new effective date. If you keep using Mathless after a change, the new terms apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. If you live elsewhere, any rights your local consumer law gives you still apply.
